Though these selections are geographically diverse, the subject matter covered are industry- and profession- independent and can boost any type of career.

Look to take a class or seminar in any one of these areas - ecommerce applications, event management, etiquette, project management, or workplace psychology – and you will surely notice an improvement in your own career success.



1. Live, Instructor-Led Online Courses: Technical, Publishing and Online Marketing Training by Mary Gillen. These courses will improve your skills for this online world. This particular course was selected for it's down-to-earth approach at teaching complex concepts by a very smart woman. You won't want to miss this one.

2. Event Leadership Executive Certificate Program, School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Temple University, Pennsylvania. Become the perfect hostess. In this day and age, it's a lot harder than you think...timing, permits, copyrights. Learn from the experts on how to pull it off to everyone's satisfaction and delight. Even if you're not in the Travel and Tourism Industry, this course is a must. Real life experience makes this course stand out.

3. Etiquette and Protocol Seminars, The Lett Group. Do you really know how to shake hands? What is your body language saying about you? How about expressions and terms you should be using to get your point across? It's all about grace and this course teaches the right level of etiquette for practical purposes.

4. Psychology of the Workplace, Jamestown Community College, SUNY. Don't be naive. Become an expert at getting along with people to get what you want. Learn what motivates people to act. This course was selected because it's the only one we've found that recognizes the need to teach people how to get along with each other at the workplace.

5. Certificate in Applied Project Management, Boston University, Corporate Education Center. How do you get to the top? It's simple. Good Project Management. It's finally a discipline and now you generally need a certificate of some sort to prove you know how to manage people and budgets. This course was selected for it's on-the-job approach.
